The 122nd COA Anniversary celebrations have finally come to a close. The closing program was held at the COA Regional Office No. V Covered Court. It was attended in person by a few personnel from the Regional Office and largely via ZOOM online application.
The closing program was commenced by a welcome message from Director Aida M. Belgira, Assistant Regional Director, Chairperson – Committee on Awards. “Resilience and innovation in the new normal.” Director Belgira opened with this year’s anniversary theme. She emphasized that in this time of pandemic in the new normal, we must rise up and be resilient. We must also be grateful for the opportunities given to us by COA despite the pandemic. She acknowledged Director Joel S. Estolatan’s initiative to recognize the COA 2020 and 2021 – 1st quarter retirees and COA Auditors with notable accomplishments for the first time in COA Region V. She thanked the various committees without whom the online COA week celebrations would not have been fruitful and enjoyable –
Director Belgira ended her message with Fr. Francis’ note during the COA Anniversary’s opening mass, “the mission of COA are the following: Cooperation, Openness, and Acceptance,” be a COAn.
The next part of the closing program was the announcement and awarding of prizes to the winners in the various online games and the tiktok dance competition. Dir. Estolatan, Dir. Belgira, and RSA Segovia presented the prizes to the winners –
Finally, Director Estolatan, Regional Director, shared a few but meaningful words to everyone. He emphasized that the COA week celebrations was highlighted and made special by the recognition of the retirees and the COA auditors with notable accomplishments. This recognition was proper to give what was due to the Auditors who honorably served the commission through hard work and outstanding public service. He hoped that this recognition will also serve as inspiration to everyone in the COA Region V. This is timely due to the demand of the public for clean governance, and it is our responsibility as public servants to give them what is due. He closed with congratulating and thanking every COA retiree and awardee for their hard work and service.
