TikTok Competition

TikTok is a video-sharing social networking service. The social media platform is used to make a variety of short-form videos, from genres like dance, comedy, and education, that have a duration from 15 seconds to one minute (three minutes for some users).  This has since become popular in 2020 when the community was on lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As an innovative activity, the Regional Office held its very first TikTok competition open for all COA RO V personnel.  One presentation was submitted for each of the provinces and the Regional Office.  The TikTok presentations were in a group with a minimum of 8 and maximum of 10 members.  Practice of social distancing, use of mask and other safety and health precautionary measures were observed.  The TikTok presentations revolved around the theme, “resilience and innovation in the new normal.”  The presentation were recorded with a maximum of 1 minute.  The judges were Atty. Joel Estolatan, Regional Director, Ms. Aida Belgira, Assistant Regional Director, and Former SA Teresita Borile, retired COAn.

Criteria for judging were as follows

The TikTok presentations were livestreamed via zoom during the opening program in the following order: Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate, Sorsogon, and Region.

The “TikTokers” showcased their talents in dancing and acting in their different takes on the theme, “resilience and innovation in the new normal.”  The best presentations will be announced during the closing program on May 7, 2021.
