COA Regional Office No. 5 saved the best for last for CY 2019 as Commissioner Roland C. Pondoc led the Oath of Commitment to Integrity on the 2nd day of the year-end GAD activity celebration last December 17, 2019 at the Legazpi City Convention Center. Likewise, a seminar on GAD Sensitivity and Awareness, with former Assistant Commissioner, and now GAD consultant Lourdes M. Castillo, as the resource person was conducted on same date.
The Seminar on R.A. 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees conducted by the Civil Service Commission held on December 16 ushered the Oathtaking attended by all COA 5 officers and employees.

Regional Director Roland A. Rey reminded the Bicolano auditors that reciting the Integrity Pledge further affirms the responsibilities and duties of a COAn, not just as a public servant but as a guardian of the government funds.
In his message, Commissioner Pondoc stressed out the importance of maintaining integrity in the workplace by quoting Amy Anderson’s article that “Success will come and go but Integrity is forever”. Commissioner Pondoc also took the time to answer the queries, issues and concerns of several COA 5 employees through an open forum.
The event concluded with the signing of the pledge form by the COA Region 5 officials and employees, to be attached to their own personnel files.
